I am happy today. Yesterday I was driving home up the canyon & what to my wondering eyes should appear but dozens of goats happily grazing on the hillside. YAY my goats are home.The City of Oakland rents goats to aid in fire prevention. They wander about the hills at the end of summer "mowing" the weeds.
As I was looking for some pictures & links for this blog I came across two sad stories about these goats.

That photo reminds me of one of my favorite books as a child about a little girl who took care of a baby goat. CUTE!!!
